INTRODUCTION
A bespoke installation spanning two stories. Gaze amongst the stars, and you’ll see the beauty of the game in all its glory.
At first glance, this exquisitely crafted piece depicts a galaxy of constellations. Look again though, and you’ll discover some of the world’s most famous goals laid out in a linear form. Selected by former first-team manager Mauricio Pochettino, each constellation is accompanied by subtle engravings listing the scorer, minute, fixture, and the year of each goal.
The installation invites viewers and guests -- most of whom are elite footballers -- to explore the galaxy and revisit some of the finest goals top-flight football has ever seen. This interactivity is aided by a bespoke app that allows you to watch the goals and thus the constellations being created, via iPad screens which are set up alongside the installation. A limited-edition print celebrating the unveiling of the installation was also created.
