Light in Motion: Key Dates and Events

Light in Motion brings together a group of innovative artists, designers and engineers, for an exhibition presented by Acrylicize as part of London Design Festival 2024. The exhibition includes design objects, artworks and mesmerising installations, that convey ideas about space, movement and time, and emphasise the dynamic play of light and motion.
The exhibition is curated by Sean Malikides of Kai Lab and Jessie Temple of Whatever Together, featuring work by Duncan Carter, Kai Lab, Heyl & Van Dam, Maria Vera, Relative Distance, Sophie Mei Birkin, Star Holden, Will Laslett, and Will Muir Llia.
The exhibition and all accompanying events will take place at the home of Acrylicize, The Art House, during London Design Festival 2024.

Main Exhibition
The Light in Motion exhibition will run publicly throughout London Design Festival 2024, featuring a selection of mesmerising artworks that explore ideas about space, movement and time, and emphasise the dynamic play of light and motion.
No ticket needed, open to all.

Artist Talk
Join us at The Art House for 'Breathing, not blinking: art at the intersection of the mechanical and natural', an artist talk hosted by Grace Boyle (The Feelies) in conversation with Light in Motion artists Duncan Carter, Dev Joshi, Sophie Mei Birkin, and Maria Vera.

Workshops
In “Molecular Luminescence: Communal Bonds,” participants will engage in a hands-on, dynamic, communal creative workshops co-designed by awe.curation and Kai Lab, in conjunction with the 'Light in Motion' exhibition.
